Our Purpose

Community Focused

LIVE - Legal Immigration Volunteer Empowerment is dedicated to fostering a grassroots movement for volunteers helping aliens wanting to be immigrants. By creating a supportive community and offering guidance on the immigration process they have the opportunity to be citizens Through our platform, we encourage participation and resource sharing to uplift immigrant lives.

The No Need Among You workshop in Houston Texas was very informative. We came up with some questions and a plan going forward.  The questions discussed were immigrant focused, community key ingredients and legal team on three areas that need changing.  When asked if anyone believes the immigration system is working, all believed it was broken.

The Miracle and the Movement         Bruce & Tiffany

The story of the Miracle Man has now reached every major network.  With heartfelt gratitude, we give thanks to God—and to the heroes on the beach, as well as the dedicated professionals

in the medical field who work tirelessly every day. To God be the glory for orchestrating the people and circumstances that brought forth this life-saving miracle.  Perform a search “peanut

island rescue” on face book to see the story.  Tiffany and I are now committed to promoting CPR awareness and helping communities access AEDs through our ministry. This second chance

at life isn't just a blessing—it's a calling. A calling to save lives. A calling to ignite change. One vision I’ve been building toward is a community-based initiative called LIVE—Legal Immigration

Volunteer Empowerment.  LIVE is inspired by a core belief: that compassionate, community-guided sponsorship can transform lives. U.S. immigration law includes provisions for sponsoring

individuals seeking to immigrate legally. Yet in today's landscape, deportations too often sweep away innocents, and immigration debates dominate headlines.  We've seen our borders swing

between extremes. Now is the time for a balanced, thoughtful approach—one rooted in community, accountability, and human dignity. LIVE seeks to create a system where individuals we refer

to as “aliens” (belonging to a foreign country or nation) can become immigrants, and eventually, citizens. That progression is the heartbeat of LIVE.  Our guiding principle? Adopt an Alien.

Anyone—individuals, churches, nonprofits, businesses—can help provide the support, oversight, and mentorship needed to guide someone through the immigration journey. This effort reflects the kind of

unity and purpose I experienced firsthand on June 25th, when strangers came together on a beach to save my life.  Different skills, One goal, LIVE will operate as a grassroots movement. These are

citizen-driven efforts that start locally, build momentum through community engagement, and create meaningful change from the bottom up. We're not waiting for policy to change—we’re activating

compassion, right now.  Here’s how it works with Step one:

•Build a community of sponsors/individuals willing to adopt an alien and/or affect change.

• Sponsors commit to supporting that individual or family for up to seven years—covering basic needs without

reliance on government assistance.

• The estimated cost is about $21,000 per year ($147,000 total), similar to raising a child.

• The immigrant can contribute through work, but the sponsoring community guarantees the cost.

• Once a visa is obtained, the individual transitions to immigrant status, with a pathway toward citizenship within seven years.

This model isn’t just about immigration—it’s about relationship. It’s about building strong community ties, fostering civic responsibility, and strengthening the American fabric one person at a time.

If you’re interested in becoming part of a LIVE community and/or adopting an alien, I invite you to follow me on Facebook  “Bruce Brown CPA/Bridge Builder.”

Worker with Ladder

Nuts and bolts

  • New Hope Ministries and USA CDC (Community Development Corporation) are two active nonprofits.

  • LIVE is a key initiative under New Hope, focused on mobilizing people to join a grass roots initiative.

  • The mission involves helping immigrants navigate complex and shifting legal landscapes, while also empowering them through leadership and business training.

  • We are building a tapestry—a unified group of organizations, people, and resources—working together over time.

  • The movement is gaining momentum, especially as people face uncertainty and frustration around immigration raids and citizenship processes.

  • Leadership training is central, equipping individuals to become community builders and hope-givers.

This is a bold and compassionate undertaking. Would you like help with any of the above, follow us on Facebook.

You do not need to wait, you can Adopt an Alien now.

Sponsoring an immigrant to the U.S. involves a legal process that requires you to file specific forms, demonstrate financial capability, and commit to supporting the immigrant.

Steps to Sponsor an Immigrant

1.Determine Eligibility: To sponsor an immigrant, you must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident (green card holder) and at least 18 years old. You must also have a domicile in the U.S..

2.Choose the Right Visa Category: The most common way to sponsor an immigrant is through family based visas. Immediate relatives (spouses, unmarried children under 21, and parents) have no annual cap on visas, while other family members fall under the family preference category, which has limited visas available each year.

3.File the Petition: You need to file Form I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to establish the relationship with the immigrant. Each person you sponsor requires a separate Form I-130.

4.Complete the Affidavit of Support: After your petition is approved, you must submit Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support). This form is a legally binding contract where you agree to financially support the immigrant, ensuring they will not become a public charge. You must demonstrate that your household income meets or exceeds 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for your household size.

5.Attend the Visa Interview: Once the petition and affidavit are processed, the immigrant will need to attend a visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate. They will need to provide documentation and answer questions about their eligibility.

6.Understand Your Responsibilities: As a sponsor, you are legally obligated to support the immigrant financially until they become a U.S. citizen or have worked for 40 quarters (approximately 10 years). This includes covering essential needs like food, shelter, and medical care. If the immigrant receives means-tested public benefits, you may be required to repay those costs.

Important Considerations•

Legal Obligations: Sponsorship is a serious commitment. Ensure you understand the long-term responsibilities involved, including the potential legal implications if you fail to meet your obligations. •Seek Legal Advice: Given the complexities of immigration law, consider consulting with an immigration attorney to navigate the process effectively.
